La Bean Coffee was established in January of 2008 as a business with a philanthropic worldview and a deep passion for quality and excellence.

Our goal is to seek out and roast the finest sustainable coffees in the world and share our passion for music and art.

We honor the work of our coffee suppliers and are committed to a mutually beneficial relationship with the farmers who grow our coffee. We work closely with our farmers to ensure that they are being fairly compensated for their hard work and that they can follow sustainable agricultural practices leading to ecological stewardship as well as excellent coffee.

We have an insatiable appetite for music and art. We love it, and want to share it.  This passion is the drive behind our “Artist Spotlight”.  When we find artists of any medium that we love we feature them on our site.  Our goals for this are to provide our customers with a new way to find new and exciting artistic efforts, and to provide the artist with an outlet that requires nothing from them but to share their work.  We have no financial interest in this process, only to help the artist find an avenue to promote there work and grow their audience.

Each month we will “spotlight” an artist on our website that we love. Hopefully, this gives our clientele a chance to experience “art” that has moved us.

Starting in the fall of 2011, we are excited to announce that we will launch a monthly concert series at NYC’s brand new Cutting Room. All ticket sales from these events will go directly to support NYC public schools music programs.
